Refund policy

At Elegant at Home, we strive to ensure your utmost satisfaction with every purchase. However, we understand that situations may arise where you may need to return or exchange an item. Please read our Returns and Refunds Policy carefully to understand your rights and our obligations.
Eligibility Criteria for Returns and Refunds
- To be eligible for a return or refund, the item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition as received.
- Returns/refund requests must be initiated within fourteen (14) days from the date of delivery.
- Certain items, such as perishable goods, personalized items, and digital downloads, are exempt from being returned unless they are defective or damaged upon receipt.
- We reserve the right to refuse returns/refunds on items that do not meet the above criteria or are not covered under our policy.
Returns Process
- To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team at kathy.smith@elegantathome.biz to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
- Once you receive the RMA number, securely package the item(s) along with the original packing slip and any included accessories.
- Ship the item(s) back to us using a trackable shipping method at your expense. We recommend using a shipping method that provides insurance and tracking to ensure the safe return of the item(s).
- Upon receiving the returned item(s), our team will inspect them to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria outlined above.
- If the return is approved, we will process the refund to the original method of payment within ten (10) business days.
Refunds
- Refunds will be issued for the cost of the item(s) returned, excluding any shipping charges unless the return is due to an error on our part.
- Please note that it may take some time for the refund to reflect in your account, depending on your financial institution's processing times.
Exchanges
- We do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange an item, please follow the returns process outlined above and place a new order for the desired item.
Damaged or Defective Items
- If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately upon receipt with photographic evidence of the damage.
- We will arrange for a replacement or refund, depending on product availability and your preference.
Cancellations
- Orders can be canceled within twenty four (24) hours of placement, provided they have not been shipped. Once an order has been shipped, it is subject to our Returns and Refunds Policy.
Final Sale Items
- Certain items may be marked as final sale and are not eligible for return or refund unless they are defective or damaged upon receipt. This will be clearly indicated at the time of purchase.
Modifications to Policy
- We reserve the right to modify or update our Returns and Refunds Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website.
